EnergAR is an app that lets users explore the energy transition at home. Exploration can be a medium to familiarize people with the concept and consequences. Lacking crucial information can create fear and frustration when being asked to participate in the transition. This can lead to non-cooperating citizens and can slow down the transition. Important factors why people are against the idea of transitioning are change, money and the process. EnergAR provides this information by showing calculations of the total costs, the possible procedure when switching and what your house will look like afterwards. This, together with the pros and cons list and the subsidies, gives people the ability to decide what they can do with this knowledge. EnergAR will become a part of the routines of energy and housing experts, and will be introduced in the awareness stage at the start of the transition process.
