Irregularity, a societal opportunity

Pierre Lévy is professor at CNAM, holder of the Jean Prouvé Chair of Design, and member of Dicen (EA 7339). He lived for many years in Japan and the Netherlands, where he worked on a Japanese cultural and philosophical perspective in design, and on a holistic approach focusing on transformative practices (Transforming practices - TP). By leading a reflection based on Japanese cultural and philosophical concepts, which he works within a constructive perspective for design practice, his presentation will offer an original perspective on the moment of design with regard to everyday practices, focusing in particular on irregularity as a societal opportunity and on appropriation as a moment of situated creation of the everyday.
