Irregularity, a societal opportunity
Pierre Lévy is professor at CNAM, holder of the Jean Prouvé Chair of Design, and member of Dicen-IDF (EA 7339). He lived for many years in Japan and the Netherlands, where he worked on a Japanese cultural and philosophical perspective in design, and on a holistic approach focusing on transformative practices (Transforming practices - TP). By leading a reflection based on Japanese cultural and philosophical concepts, which he works within a constructive perspective for design practice, his presentation will offer an original perspective on the moment of design with regard to everyday practices, focusing in particular on irregularity as a societal opportunity and on appropriation as a moment of situated creation of the everyday.
