Perspectives in interaction design
In the spirit of multidisciplinarity that animated the #illuminov workshop – connected lighting – during the week of April 25-29, I am pleased to invite you to the presentation by Pierre Lévy, assistant professor in design at Eindhoven University of Technology, which will take place on Friday, June 10 at La Pré-Fabrique de l'innovation at 2:30 PM. Through his research, Pierre Lévy is interested in the implications of perception theories and phenomenology in the fields of interaction design (embodied interaction design) and Kansei design (Japanese perspective on sensibility and the affective) – a topic for which he has been invited numerous times for international conferences. holder of a PhD in Kansei Science from the University of Tsukuba in Japan, he is currently president-elect of the European Kansei Group (EKG).
During this presentation, we will discuss the constructive design research approach, and the perspective it offers on the reciprocal attention between human and artefact, and on the notion of 'irresistibility' in interaction design.
This approach will open onto the exploration led by Pierre Lévy in 'ritual design', which sits at the intersection of kansei design and systems design. The presentation will be built around examples of concrete projects developed at Eindhoven University of Technology, likely to interest both researchers and design practitioners. The presentation and exchanges will be in French. Fabien Labarthe (IRAM-Télécom Saint-Etienne, Elico Laboratory, Max Weber Center).
